Dig Up The Dead.........
"In the grand scheme of things, there are a relatively small amount of albums that can evoke pure emotion or forge a bond between the artist and the listener; those few albums are game changers. Mansions’s New Best Friends was not a “game changer.” It was however a great debut record, one that made Christopher Browder deserve attention in the future. And attention it merits because Mansions’s April 5 release Dig Up The Dead may just be that game changer." Property of Zack

BRUISES FOR YOUR BAD DREAMS EP
"Coming off the recording of my first solo record, "Devils Made A New Friend," and following the first few tours to support it, I returned this winter to numerous New York blizzards and there was nothing to do but write new songs. It was during the record breaking NYC blizzard that i wrote "mother/father" and "miserable without you". The second song was written as a duet and i had met Nicole Atkins while filming the video series that lead to the release of Devils Made A New Friend. Her rich and soulful voice was ideal for the recording and she kindly obliged when i approached her about it. Jack Dishel(only son, moldy peaches) produced the five song ep in Manhattan as the snowy onslaught continued. 'Snow Cruncher' was a leftover from Devils sessions and recorded with Mike Bloom(the elected) at his home in LA."
I began playing "Desperate Hands" on my last tour and was getting great reactions from the audience. Andrea Babinski was on tour playing strings and she Yoed Nir wrote the string arrangements for this version. I wanted to keep the same energy as the way I was playing it live.
